MAN CHARGED: A suspect is in custody after a house on Sherburn Road Estate, near Durhamm was damaged
A MAN suspected of carrying a knife and causing damage to a house on a County Durham estate has been remanded in custody.
Durham City Police received a report of a man causing damage to a house on Sherburn Road Estate, near Durham, on Saturday afternoon.
It was suspected that he was in possession of a bladed article during the incident.
Officers arrested a man very quickly, close to the scene.
A man has since been charged with offences and remanded in custody.
A Durham police spokesperson said no other suspects are being sought.
