A MAN was left seriously injured in a mass brawl at Catterick Garrison.
The fight broke out near to Louis Bar on Kitchener Road at around 4.40am on Sunday and involved a large number of people.
One man was taken to James Cook University in Middlesbrough for treatment to serious injuries and a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
He was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and a spokesman said: "In particular, officers would like to speak to a group of men who were dressed in fancy dress outfits who may be able to provide important information."
