STOP CHECKS: Police tackle drink and drug driving on County Durham roads
A DRIVER who was stopped by police carrying out drink drive checks took exception and told officers they should be catching burglars instead.
The incident happened at Thinford near Spennymoor.
A Durham Constabulary spokesperson said: "Needless to say he blew four times over the limit. The 45-year-old man was arrested and charged."
