THERE'S no business like showbusiness as far as one of the North-East's best-known charities is concerned.
The Butterwick Hospice staged "The Greatest Show" Ball at Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield, on Saturday night and raised an estimated £30,000.
The evening featured stunning performances of songs by the i-stage group from The Greatest Showman film. Jackson Soul provided more entertainement later in the evening.
An envelope competition, silent auction, raffle, and tombola helped to raise valuable funds for the charity.
Jo Wallis, Butterwick's Head of Marketing and Fundraising, said: "It was a fabulous night and to raise £30,000 from The Greatest Show is 'the greatest result' we could have hoped for."
Nick Walton, who took the leading role in the Greatest Show, added: "We've been privileged to perform and help raise money for such a great charity."
Guests at the ball included Julia Ward, daughter of Butterwick Hospice founder, Mary Butterwick, and her grand-daughter Karen Holder.
