A MAN was assaulted and robbed for a pouch of tobacco and some cash.

The 33-year-old man was attacked on Percy Street in Middlesbrough, close to the junction of Garnet Street at the back of the Psyche shop, on Wednesday, October 31 at 10.30pm.

The victim was approached by two men and one woman who assaulted him before stealing money and tobacco for him.

They made off along Percy Street towards Princes Road.

One of the men is described as being a white male, of stocky build and in his late 30s. He was wearing a light coloured jumper and jeans.

The second man was also a white male, in his late 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of skinny build with black hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit.

The woman was a white female, in her late 30s with black hair and was wearing jeans.

The victim was uninjured.
