ARMED robbers threatened a shop worker with a weapon before stealing cash from a till.

Three men - one of them masked - entered Habib News on Ayresome Green Lane, Middlesbrough, at 4.30pm on Sunday and threatened a woman in a shop.

They stole a quantity of cash from the till and left the shop in the direction of Bell Street and left the woman shaken but uninjured.

One of the men was about 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a grey jacket with the hood up, grey trousers, black boots and a black and white face mask.

A second man was wearing a light blue hooded top with the hood up, red trousers or jogging bottoms, dark shoes, one black glove on his right hand and carrying a black shoulder bag.

The third man was wearing black, with trousers which had white stripes on the outside of the legs (possibly Adidas) and his top had a large white round emblem on the chest. This man was in possession of the weapon.
