A MAN wearing women’s underwear exposed himself to a teenage girl in what police have described as a ‘distressing incident’.
The 14-year-old girl was alone when she was approached by the stranger, who was described as being unsteady on his feet, on Victoria Terrace, which is between the town centre and the town’s marina in Hartlepool on Saturday morning.
She was walking along the road in the centre of Hartlepool at about 10.50am when the unknown man came up to her.
He then pulled his jogging bottoms down slightly.
In doing so he revealed that he was wearing women’s underwear.
He then walked off, leaving the girl in distress.
The man is described as in his late 30s to early 40s, 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build.
He had brown hair and police said he was walking with a ‘strange gait’.
This was described as being like a limp, but also that he appeared unsteady on his feet.
