PASSENGERS travelling on the northbound East Coast Mainline faced delays, disruption and cancelled trains this morning, Monday, but services are now back to normal.
LNER said: "A broken rail at Darlington has resulted in the line from Darlington towards Durham being blocked. A normal service is expected to resume from 12pm.
Replacement bus services ferried passengers from Darlington to Durham and Newcastle and customers were allowed to use tickets on Cross Country services throughout the disruption, LNER advised this morning.
