POLICE say no one was injured after a large fire broke out at a B&M store in York yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the store on Clifton Moor at about 4.30pm on Saturday and remained on the scene overnight.
A spokesman said they will launch an investigation into the incident today.
B&M have also said that all their staff from the branch are safe and they thanked the emergency services for their help.
An eyewitness at the scene this morning said the building looked like it is still smoking at the back and that the roof is "mangled and the signs are charred."
The A1237 was shut between Wigginton roundabout and the Tesco roundabout was closed. Police confirmed this morning, Sunday, that the road has now reopened.
