A WOMAN was left with facial injuries after a teenager threw a full can of pop in her face.

She was walking her dog through the wooded area, which runs adjacent to Tennyson Gardens, Dipton, at around 6.20pm when the attack took place.

She was verbally abused by two youths before one of them threw an unopened fizzy drink at her.

She suffered several injuries including a large cut above her left eye, swelling and bruising around her eye as well as a small cut to the bridge of her nose.

The two youths are described as: white males, aged 15-16 years old, 5ft 6ins, of skinny build, both wearing dark hoodies and baseball caps. One youth had short dark hair and the other short blonde hair.
