Nuisance teens

POLICE are investigating reports of teenagers causing a nuisance in Stokesley. Officers are appealing for parents to make sure they know where their children are on an evening after a group of up to eight youths were banging on residents’ doors on Monday night. The youths, both girls and boys, were in the Sowerby Crescent, The Stripe and North Road areas at around 9.30pm to 10pm. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV cameras in those areas, or who knows who the troublemakers are, to contact them on 101.

Station choir

RICHMOND choir the Station Singers has begun preparations for its Christmas concert: Home for Christmas - Peace at Last. The concert will take place on December 15 at St Mary’s Church, Richmond, and will commemorate the centenary of the Armistice. The choirs will be singing a mix of carols and each choir will sing a short set in remembrance of the end of World War I. Ticket information will be released nearer the concert. Moorish Spain

THE next lecture in the Ripon Cathedral Friends monthly series is at 3pm on October 21, in Thorpe Prebend House, Ripon. Lecturer Jocelyn Brooks looks at Moorish Spain – Religious Tolerance and Tensions 711CE- 1492CE, a subject which although rooted in the past has contemporary overtones.Visitors are welcome for £4 and booking is not required.
