PEOPLE are being encouraged to share their views on polling districts ahead of next year’s elections.
The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places will assess the suitability of those currently used in Stockton Borough, as well as their accessibility and facilities.
The Council would also like to hear suggestions for alternative places that may be used as polling places, particularly where a mobile station is currently used.
Cllr Bob Cook, leader of Stockton Borough Council, said: “Everybody should utilise their right to vote and that’s why we need to ensure polling districts and places have the best facilities for voters. If you have any suggestions don’t miss this opportunity to get in touch.”
Any comments can be posted to Julie Danks, Returning Officer, Stockton Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Church Road, Stockton They can also be emailed to polling.review@stockton.gov.uk
The deadline is Wednesday, October 31 at www.stockton.gov.uk/stockton-council/elections-and-voting
