THOUSANDS of wide-eyed youngsters were taken on a magical journey of princesses, heroes and make believe when Disney on Ice returned to the region with its fabulous Dream Big show.

Much-loved songs, wonderful costumes and impressive skating all came together to deliver yet another wonderful show that was filled with some of Disney’s favourite characters, including Moana, who made her European debut live on ice.

The elaborate production, produced by Feld Entertainment, brought together a variety of inspiring stories connected by a cast of characters who are striving to explore their dreams and bring them to fruition.

Courage, determination and curiosity were all at the heart of this 90-minute Disney extravaganza, which went beyond the expected prince and princess theme that youngsters have come to love.

The show inspired children to look within their own hearts and minds when following their dreams and showed that by being brave, committed and bold , anything is possible.

Eight stories were told, including Aladdin, Frozen, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid, keeping both young boys and girls hooked from start to finish. And of course, everyone’s favourites Minnie and Mickey Mouse were among the highlights. Our boys loved it.

With great dance and figure-skating routines, beautiful sets, fireworks and an ice rink that even turned to fire, the show hit all the spots and left the audience baying for more. If you can get tickets, you won’t be disappointed.
