A WOMAN has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a Hartlepool mum.
Kelly Franklin died on Friday, August 3, in Oxford Road after receiving “significant injuries” and the investigation has now developed further.
Cleveland Police confirmed on Tuesday that a woman has been re-arrested on suspicion of the 29-year-old’s murder.
A force spokeswoman said: “Following ongoing inquiries into the death of Kelly Franklin, a 48-year-old woman was re-arrested on suspicion of murder.
"She is in custody.”
The 48-year-old woman was originally arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after Ms Franklin's death.
A man, Torbjorn Kettlewell, also known as Ian, was also arrested and then charged with murder.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court last month.
The 30-year-old also denied having a bladed article, a knife, on Oxford Road, Hartlepool on the same date.
