A 23-YEAR-OLD has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged assault seriously injuring a man in his 50s.
Paramedics called police to an address on Scarth Walk, in Stockton, at around 1.20am on Saturday following reports of a disturbance.
A 23-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday and was subsequently charged on Sunday.
The man in his 50s remains in hospital and his condition is described as “stable”.
The 23-year-old man has been remanded in custody by Cleveland Police and will appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 1.
