THREE people have been arrested following the discovery of human remains in Helmsley.
A police spokesperson said that the "remains of a person" were found at a property in Bondgate in Helmsley at about 6pm on Tuesday following a report by a member of the public.
The spokesperson said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained. The coroner has been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death.
"A 75-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident."
