TWO shotguns and a rifle were stolen from a property after intruders broke in and threatened the homeowner.

Police are continuing to investigate the aggravated burglary which took place at around 9.50pm on Wednesday, September 19 near Masham, North Yorkshire.

Two men wearing balaclavas broke into the property, in the outskirts of Masham.

They made off with various items including two shotguns and a rifle that had been stored in a gun cabinet.

All the weapons were licensed to the homeowner.

Officers are supporting the owner while enquiries are ongoing to track the suspects down and recover the firearms.
