A MAN was attacked after leaving a town centre bar in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim had left the Wine Bar, on Horse Market, Barnard Castle, when the incident occurred nearby at some time between 4am and 4.40am yesterday.
The 22-year-old victim suffered a laceration to his lip and was taken to hospital following police attendance.
Police in Barnard Castle are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
