How did the players fare in Newcastle's goalless draw at Crystal Palace?

CRYSTAL PALACE (4-3-3):

Hennessey 7; WAN-BISSAKA 8, Tomkins 7, Sakho 7, van Aanholt 7; Kouyate 7 (Meyer 6, 63), Milivojevic 8, McArthur 7; Townsend 7, Ayew 6 (Sorloth 71), Zaha 6.

Subs (not used): Guaita (gk), Ward, Schlupp, Kelly, Puncheon.

NEWCASTLE (4-4-1-1):

7 Dubravka: Made a number of good saves and looked solid, apart from the Sakho chance. Got away with that one

7 Yedlin: Stuck to the tricky task of keeping Zaha quiet and pretty much did it, by fair means and foul

8 Lascelles: The skipper showed his leadership qualities at the back and was a first-half threat at the other end too

8 FERNANDEZ: His Zara policy was clear - go in as hard as possible and see what happens

7 Dummett: Solid performance on the left of the defence, good block to deny Townsend

6 Ritchie: Plenty of effort and a few decent crosses from the wing man

6 Diame: Worked hard to protect the back four

6 Shelvey: Tried to make things happen in the middle as ever but found it difficult to conjure up any end product

5 Kenedy: Only occasionally involved in any positive sense on the left of midfield

6 Perez: Flits about between the lines cleverly but is no finisher, as his early chance squandering proved

4 Rondon: The big striker was hooked at the break after a calf problem reduced his contribution to not a lot

Subs:

7 Joselu (for Rondon, 46): Perked up the front line instantly but then didn't get much service

Atsu (for Ritchie, 73)

Muto (for Perez, 81)

(not used): Darlow (gk), Clark, Ki, Manquillo

MAN OF THE MATCH: FEDERICO FERNANDEZ - Was a real warrior at the back and referee Andre Marriner had few problems with his 'no prisoners' stance.
