AN apprentice at a North-East car manufacturing factory has won recognition at a regional ceremony.
Niall Bennison, of Newton Aycliffe, was given the British Army Award for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year for County Durham at the The National Apprenticeship Awards.
The 22-year-old, an apprentice at Nissan, in Sunderland, said: “I couldn’t be more pleased with the training I’ve received at Nissan Sunderland Plant over the past three years and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve been presented with, such as applying for this award. I would like to thank everyone for their support and guidance during my time as an apprentice at Nissan and I can’t wait for the national final in November.”
Mr Bennison received the award on Tuesday.
