THE North-East’s biggest live music festival will return next summer with organisers promising “another weekend of sizzling music and entertainment”.

Hardwick Live will take place over the weekend of August 17 and 18, 2019, in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield, in County Durham.

The full line up of artists taking part will be announced in due course while the team behind the festival work to ensure next year’s event is the “biggest and best to date”.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which runs Hardwick Live, said: “This year we moved to a two-day festival for the very first time and it proved to be a huge success.

“We welcomed thousands of visitors over the two days who enjoyed fantastic live music along with a host of other entertainment, with everything from DJs to celebrity chefs.

“Now we want to build on this year’s success as we return for two days in 2019.

“It’s too early to give anything away yet as to who we’ll have performing, but music-lovers can rest assured we plan to pull out all the stops to provide a line up which won’t be beaten.”

This year’s event featured stars including the Happy Mondays, Kaiser Chiefs, Shed Seven, Jake Shears, Vintage Trouble, Feeder and many more.

The festival was first held in 2013 when Texas and Jools Holland performed.
