NORTH Yorkshire artists Piers Browne has an exhibition at the Hartlake Gallery in Muker run by Richard and Polly Walls at The Old School.
It runs until 5pm on Sunday, September 30, showing a selection of etchings from his seven illustrated books and
spanning his career as an artist from 1976, when he began work on A Shropshire Lad, up to the present.
About ten of the best etchings or engravings from each of his books are on show. These are A Shropshire Lad, An Elegy in Arcady, William Wordsworth: A Lakeland Anthology, Wensleydale: Etchings and Verse, Sonnets for a Siren and his latest book and first novella, La Route des Violettes.
