SUNDERLAND supporters can get a match-day glimpse of the growing collection of memorabilia in the soon-to-open Fans’ Museum, on Saturday.
Fans heading to the Stadium of Light for the Black Cats’ League One fixture against Rochdale on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off) are welcome to call into the former Monkwearmouth Station Museum, in Bridge Street North, which will be open from late morning.
The museum, gradually filling with old strips, vintage match-day programmes, plus fixtures and fittings from the club’s former Roker Park ground, is to be officially opened by an, as yet unnamed club ‘legend’ next month.
Entry is free of charge. There is a licensed bar and Sky Sports will broadcast the lunch-time Premier League fixture for fans to take-in during their visit.
