TWO big names in music are heading north for their 2019 tours.
Indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs and singer-songwriter KT Tunstall will grace stages in Newcastle and Gateshead respectively next year.
The O2 Academy will play host to the Leeds-born Kaiser Chiefs on January 25 while Brit and Ivor Novello Award-winning KT Tunstall will perform at The Sage Gateshead on March 11.
As well as announcing their 21-date tour, the Kaiser Chiefs have announced they are back in the studio working on their seventh studio album with Ben Allen, the producer who worked on the band’s UK Number 1 album Education, Education, Education and War.
Meanwhile Scottish KT Tunstall is set to release her sixth studio album, WAX, and will tour for the first time with an all-female band.
