A NORTH-EAST film club is to screen a tribute to a much loved actress.
Fenella Fielding, who died last week aged 90 after suffering a stroke, appeared at Darlington Film Club in 2015 for a Q&A.
The event drew a full house and founder James Watson described her as one of the film club’s best ever guests.
She was to have visited Darlington again this year to read from her memoirs, but ill health forced her to cancel.
Miss Fielding’s best-known film Carry On Screaming, also starring Kenneth Williams and Harry H Corbett, will be shown at The Forum Music Centre on Borough Road, Darlington, next Monday, September 24, from 7.30pm.
Entry is £3 and half the proceeds will go to charity.
