HARDLY a day that goes by without Brexit being undermined or sidelined by the establishment.
This week, the Migration Advisory Committee is arguing that the number of highly skilled migrants the country lets in is increased !
Well, I for one have had enough. I voted for the UK to leave the EU. That meant completely leaving the EU, including the single market, the customs union and also to significantly reduce the alarmingly high migration numbers into the UK.
I am sure many others voted on this basis.
In David Cameron's pre-referendum propaganda leaflet sent to all households, the Government said if the UK voted to leave then the UK would respect this and leave the EU!
Given that the Tories' sell-out Brexit proposal will tie us to the EU without the voting rights to have influence, the UK is now quite clearly not leaving the EU. As a result, there seems to be growing support amongst us Leavers that the price of a no deal exit will be well worth it. That way those who wish to undermine or stop Brexit will not be able to get their grubby hands into the deal and we shall start at a year zero on World Trade Organisation rules.
Thankfully, with a leader of the opposition who never comments on Brexit, an incompetent Remain PM, the discredited IMF, a hostile EU and the only pro-Brexit party – the Lib Dems – not trusted by any decent person, the chance of a no deal Brexit looks very likely.
I hope time flies and March 29, 2019, comes around ASAP.
