AN ART college which has changed its name is to hold its first open day.

Cleveland College of Art has renamed itself as The Northern School of Art and is unveiling some new additions to the range of creative degree courses at its University-level campus in Hartlepool.

The school has announced a new Events and Exhibition Design BA (Hons) programme and three foundation degrees in Post-Production, Lighting & Camera and Sound Design as well its first ever postgraduate MA programme in Creative Design Enterprise.

It will unveil further details of the new courses at its open day on Saturday, September 29 from 10am-2pm.

Prospective students can get an insight into careers in the creative industries with a series of talks as well as sessions on the finance options that are available to students.

Drop-in sessions giving advice on portfolios and interviews are on offer for students planning to apply to creative courses at any institution.
