Twinning visit

A DONATION of £500 is to be given by Bedale Town Council towards entertaining representatives from French twin town Azay-sur-Cher who are due to visit the town in the autumn. Members of the twinning group asked for the donation saying they had been raising funds themselves but had not had enough time to raise what was needed, however they did not expect to come back for further donations in the future. They told councillors the visit would help put the town on the same map as other twinned communities in the region.
