RESIDENTS in a North-East town are being reminded to have their say on plans to improve private sector housing standards.
Stockton Borough Council launched a consultation on plans to introduce selective licensing of private rented housing within Central Stockton and North Thornaby on July 30.
There is still time for residents to submit views before the public consultation closes at 4pm on Monday, October 8.
Cllr Nigel Cooke, cabinet member for regeneration and housing, said: “We are really keen to hear people’s views on these proposals, which if implemented will take a robust stance on improving standards in the private rented housing sector."
Anyone looking for more information on the plans should visit www.stockton.gov.uk/selectivelicensing.
