THE Cleveland Police and Crime Panel is looking for someone who either lives or works within the force’s area to become a panel member.

Applications are open for a non-political independent member to serve from November 2018 to February 2021, providing an independent challenge to Cleveland’s Police and Crime Commissioner, who must consult with the panel on his plan and precept.

Members must attend and prepare for an average of four meetings a year.

Meetings last around two to three hours, and will be held at 5pm in the new Community Safety Hub, Middlesbrough.

The closing date for applications is September 21. For an application pack or for more information, email peter.bell@stockton.gov.uk
