NEW members are wanted for a group which aims to develop friendships and cultural Anglo-German relations between Middlesbrough and Oberhausen.
The Middlesbrough-Oberhausen Town Twinning (MOTT) group’s most recent meet-up took place at Middlesbrough Town Hall and involved a small reception with tea and cake.
Middlesbrough’s Deputy Mayor Councillor Charlie Rooney also presented the German side of the partnership with a gift of a picture showing Middlesbrough landmarks.
MOTT raises money for different local charities each year and this year made a contribution to Middlesbrough-based domestic violence charity My Sister’s Place.
During the visit the German flag was raised above the town hall to welcome the visitors from Oberhausen.
MOTT is looking for new members.
Anyone interested in getting involved in the organisation should contact julie_lewis@middlesbrough.gov.uk.
