MP Helen Goodman added a splash of pink to her outfit in support of Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink fundraiser.
The Bishop Auckland MP is calling for community groups, businesses, schools and friends in the constituency to join her and get involved in Wear it Pink day on Friday, October 19, and raise money for the charity.
She said: “Breast cancer is still the most common form of cancer in the UK– in our area (Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield CCG) around 144 people lose their lives to breast cancer in a year, and around 700 are diagnosed. It’s so important to have days like wear it pink where we can all work to raise money and increase awareness of this terrible illness.”
