ONE lane of a busy road is closed after a wagon collided with a bridge.
The emergency services are currently on the scene at A689 Bradbury, near Sedgefield, after the low loader carrying a forklift truck hit a railway bridge just after 10am.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the wagon lost the truck it was carrying after hitting the bridge but no one had been injured.
Both lanes are currently closed until the wagon can be recovered.
One person posted on Facebook: "A689 Bradbury services! Lorry stuck under the bridge and shed its load! Chaos is ensuring and traffic is horrendous! Avoid at all costs! Trains will probably be affected also!"
