EXPERTS leading the research into The Aldborough Roman Town Project will give a special talk about their work.
Over the past nine years, Professor Martin Millett and Dr Rose Ferraby have been using a wide range of survey techniques to map the buildings, roads and ditches as well as pulling together previous work in the area.
A great deal has now been discovered about the Roman town of Isurium Brigantum which was a very important centre of administration for much of northern Britain.
In the talk at St Andrew’s Church, Aldborough, on September 7, the pair will share their most recent exciting findings, which are due to be published shortly in their final report.
They will also be joining all those who attend the talk for refreshments which will be served afterwards. It starts at 7.30pm admission £5.
