AN art-pop duo will pay tribute to the music of legend Kate Bush at a historic County Durham venue.
The Kick Inside (TKI), an acoustic celebration of The Songs of Kate Bush, will kick off the autumn/winter programme of events at the grade-II listed Manor House, in Sedgefield.
The pair, otherwise known as Raf Mantelli and O Richard Smith, or ‘Raf and O’, will pay tribute to the star’s early career and core essence as a pianist singer songwriter on Friday, September 22. Marie Walker, events manager for Manor House 1707, said: “They (TKI) have played at established venues like The Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Union Chapel and we are delighted. The Old Court Room at the Manor House is now being recognised as a great location for intimate, atmospheric gigs.
“The duo are highly regarded as live performers and audiences are in for a real treat thanks to their powerful interpretation of the haunting work of Kate Bush.”
Next to perform in the Old Court Room on Saturday, October 27, will be returning artist Keith James.
Tickets for TKI are £13.50 and are available at wegottickets.com/event/445974
