A TRADITIONAL country show returns to Egton for its 129th year next week.

The Egton Horse and Agricultural Show will be held on August 22 at Egton Village, near Whitby.

There are classes for vintage machinery, fur and feather, produce and handicraft, sheep, pigs, goats and cattle.

There is also a Companion Dog Show with entries taken on the day, along with the ever-popular sheep dog trials.

There will be the usual variation of trade stands and the art and craft marquee as well as a blacksmith and horse dentistry display and wrought ironwork display.

Cookery demonstrations, live music and children’s entertainment will also be running throughout the day.

Admission is £8 Adults, £3 children and under 5s are free.

The president of the show is Brenda Tindall.
