A CAMPAIGN to raise £30,000 in 30 days for a community arts centre in Teesdale is ‘on track’ thanks to members of the public digging deep into their pockets.
The Investing in the Witham appeal was launched on Tuesday to raise funds to secure the future of the Barnard Castle arts hub.
Bosses, staff and volunteers at The Witham are asking the community and visitors to support the centre to raise £30,000 in 30 days as part of the wider appeal to secure £150,000 by the end of the year.
Sarah Gent, marketing manager, last night said the 30 day challenge was “on track”, adding: “We’re really pleased with the public support for the campaign so far but we’re encouraging people to keep supporting and donating.”
