Park vandalism

MINDLESS vandalism has caused damage to children’s play area equipment, with the area being sealed off before repairs can be carried out. A plank of wood was kicked or pulled off a tree house in Darlington’s West Park play area, leaving parts of the structure broken and splintered. The damage was caused on Sunday night with a safety barrier now in place ensuring children do not use the tree house until it is made safe. Darlington Borough Council expect to carry out repairs on Friday.
