THE final line up has been announced for a major festival being staged in Darlington this autumn.
Comedy and live music acts from across the country will take over venues close to the town’s railway station for Last Train Home on Saturday, September 22.
Hotly-tipped acts, established bands and rising stars including The Lovely Eggs, The Vulgarians, PINS, Yowl, Jister, Futureheads frontman Barry Hyde and Bang, Bang Romeo will perform at locations including Theatre Hullabaloo, Hogans, St John the Evangelist Church and Legacy Skate Store, which will be transformed into the event’s hip-hop stage.
Comedians will include Cal Halbert, Ruth Cockburn and Doug Segal
The festival has been organised by music collective Tracks, who were inspired by Darlington’s transport links to put on an event that would prove easy to reach from all across the country.
Organiser David Saunders said: “Darlington’s transport links are some of the best in the region and lately the town has been undergoing a cultural renaissance.
“We just thought it would be a great idea to hold a really exciting music and comedy festival to celebrate and showcase what is going on, but also have the festival timings revolving around the train timetable so that people from surrounding areas can come down and enjoy the fun.”
Tickets are £15 in advance. To book or for more information, visit tracksdarlington.co.uk.
