HUNDREDS of music fans are expected to descend on the North Yorkshire coast for a Motown soul weekend.
The event at Whitby Pavilion will be taking place on Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15 and has already sold out.
The Motown Soul Weekender will include a live performance by The Velvelettes, and plenty of dancing to other classics from the golden era of Motown music.
It is the sister event to the Northern Soul Weekend held at the same venue in July.
Organisers say the soul weekend attracted huge crowds to Whitby, with a staggering 98 per cent of ticket-holders travelling to the Yorkshire Coast from beyond the YO postcode.
Tickets have now gone on sale for next year’s Northern Soul Weekend which takes place between July 5 and July 7, 2019.
