A TRIBUTE act performing the songs of Black Sabbath is headlining a community music event this weekend.

Stanley’s Burning Rock Festival returns again for its third year on Saturday featuring a line-up of local rock bands.

It is at Stanley Community Football Centre and there will be live music from Blakk Sabbath, Tubesnake, Balls of Steel, Fallen Mafia, No Ordinary Angel and Conner Middleton.

Rik Lambert, who performs as Ozzy Osbourne, said: “To be headlining a fantastic local festival in our inaugural year was definitely beyond our hopes or expectations.”

The event offers a family friendly day of live entertainment including a licensed bar, food vending and market stalls with free children’s activities, inflatables and face-painting.

This year’s event will be held under a large marquee.

There will also be live wrestling matches from Northern Championship Wrestling.

Advance tickets are available for £5 from stanleyevents.nutickets.com/brock or the club as well as PACT House on Front Street, while those bought on the day will cost £6.
