A RICH array of artwork - from delicate watercolours of wildflowers to dramatic landscapes – is currently on show during a popular annual exhibition.
A Spot on the Wall, at The Station in Richmond, features work by amateur and professional artists who have each been allocated a single space on the wall.
All the work is for sale and when a piece of art is sold from the artist’s spot, they replace it with another.
The exhibition runs until Wednesday, September 5 and will also feature artist workshops and demonstrations.
On August 3 there will be a demonstration by Maureen Edgar, who creates quirky, colourful work inspired by the coast from her studio in Northallerton. It will be followed by a pop-up art sale on August 4 and 5, by Pamela Crawford, who creates delicate watercolours of wildflowers.
During the exhibition, children can also design their own “spot” and display it in The Station’s gallery.
