BRITAIN’S Got Talent winner Lee Ridley, is heading back to his hometown of Consett, where The Empire Theatre is playing host to two celebratory gigs.

Lee, known as The Lost Voice Guy, will be taking to the stage on Sunday 21 October for the shows which promise to be packed full of fun and laughter.

Lee may have won Britain’s Got Talent back in June, spent the summer performing at Edinburgh Fringe and be set to appear at the Royal Variety Performance, but he is still to realise his ultimate dream.

Lee says his greatest ambition is to perform to a sell-out audience where it all began, in Consett.

Durham county councillor Ossie Johnson, cabinet member for tourism, culture and leisure, said: “It’s great to welcome Lee back to Consett for this unmissable homecoming gig.

“We’re pretty confident he’ll be playing to a packed house at these two shows so our advice to people is make sure you get your tickets before they sell out.”

Lee will be joined on the bill by two more acts and the shows will be hosted by the comedian Matt Reed.

A PG rated family friendly version takes place at 4pm with tickets £12 and £8 for under 16s. An 18+ version is on at 8pm with tickets £18. Tickets are now on sale at www.empireconsett.co.uk.
