RICHMONDSHIRE'S popular "Pop-up Shed" for veterans in the district is taking to the road.
The first outreach session will take place at Catterick Village Sports Pavilion on August 1. The free sessions - for veterans over the age of 65 who are living within North Yorkshire - will add to the regular slots at the Shed’s base in Richmond.
It will be hosted by actress and author Irene Lofthouse who will lead a fun creative writing session based loosely on "identity", sharing regional jokes and sayings.
The event – from 10am to 3pm - will also provide a chance to undertake some mosaic tile making.
The Pop-up Shed is part of the Healthy Horizons programme which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of veterans over the age of 65 and ex-military people.
