Banner march

MEMBERS of the public are invited to follow Trimdon Brass Band and the Trimdon Colliery banner in the pre-Durham Gala march tomorrow. The parade will set off from The Square, in Trimdon Station, next to Trimdon Colliery and Deaf Hill Working men’s Club, at 7.15pm. Participants will then be led on a route encompassing Lawson Street, Commercial Street, Rodwell Street and Laurel Crescent. The parade will conclude with a concert at The Royal pub.

Dance time

A DANCE will be held at Shildon Railway Institute tomorrow, from 8pm until 10.30pm. Music will be by Michael Foxcroft. Admission is £3.

Coffee morning

WITTON Park Methodist Chapel will hold coffee morning on Saturday, from 10am until noon. Entry is free and tea, coffee and a range of cakes will be available. All proceeds will go to the chapel.

AAP board

TEESDALE Area Action Partnership (TAP) board meeting, which was due to be held last night, has been rescheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 17, at Marwood Social Centre, Marwood near Barnard Castle, from 6pm.
