APPEAL: Police have appealed for witnesses after a serious crash at Eastgate
A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously injured following a collision with a car.
The incident took place at around 4.40pm on Sunday on the A689 near Rose Hill Farm, Eastgate, in Weardale.
The crash involved a Suzuki MV1000 motorbike and a grey Seat Leon.
The motorcyclist was air lifted to the James Cook University Hospital, in Misdlesbrough.
The driver of the car also received minor injuries.
Durham police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw either vehicle prior to it.
