A SWINGING sixties event will see drainpipe jeans and capri pants back in fashion along the The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR).

The attraction is running its annual 60s Fest over the weekend of July 14 with a host of family-friendly events planned.

Visitors can enjoy the hits of great 1960s female singers at Grosmont Station and see classic cars and live music at Goathland.

Passengers can also be transported to Memphis, as Levisham becomes ‘Elvisham’, playing the King’s greatest hits and an Elvis exhibition.

Pickering will also have live music, displays and an evening show dubbed ‘The Big Night Out’, which will be hosted by the Minster FM.

Chris Price, general manager at NYMR, said: “After the success of last year, we just had to bring the 60s Fest back for 2018 and we’re very much looking forward to seeing so many people rolling back the years for a weekend of fun.”

Tickets will include return travel between Pickering to Grosmont, with passengers able to hop on and hop off all day to enjoy the various attractions at different stops. Tickets are Adult £26 for adults, £13 for children or £54 for a family of four. Visit nymr.co.uk/60s
