GLAMOROUS teenagers ended their school days in style with a prom night to remember.

Sixty stylish students from Haughton Academy gathered at Rockliffe Hall, Hurworth, to attend the school’s annual prom.

Sporting sophisticated evening gowns and sharp suits, the Year 11 students celebrated the end of their GCSE exams and the start of new futures in higher education, apprenticeships and employment.

Deputy headteacher Su Gill said: "This is the third year that we have celebrated the prom at Rockliffe Hall.

“It is a wonderful event with which to reward the students for five years of hard work and it also gives them a chance to celebrate as a year group for the final time.”

Student Hannah Robinson, 15, of Darlington, who will be studying health and social care at Darlington College, added: “I have been looking forward to the prom for ages.

“The last five years have been a real rollercoaster and I will be very sad to say goodbye to Haughton Academy.

“The teachers have helped me so much, especially with my GCSEs, and now I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
