SCHOOL pupils and students are putting on a show tonight.
GCSE pupils from Whitworth Park School, in Spennymoor, have been working with Durham University music students to improve their skills, performance and composition skills.
And now they are putting on a concert of Broadway showstoppers, pop songs and concert band classics.
Durham University Concert Band and Whitworth Park’s wind band will be performing at Elvet Methodist Church, in Durham.
Charlotte Clews, publicity officer for the concert band, said: “ Both ensembles are very excited to be presenting this joint concert as a celebration of music in school and university level, and showcasing the talents of all musicians involved.”
It starts at 7pm and tickets are £3.
