FIRE crews have been battling a major fire at a row of bungalows at Seamer, near Stokesley.
At its height six pumps were battling the fire at a terrace of four bungalows.
Crews were alerted at 11.34am today to what was originally described as a small fire in a garden.
One pump was initially sent but further calls came in and the number was quickly increased to four and then to six as it was reported the flames had reached the roof space.
Fire crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose-reel jets to tackle the flames.
Everyone had been evacuated from the bungalows and it is believed no-one was hurt in the incident, which was under control by shortly after 1pm.
